SHSAT (8/9)
The SHSAT (Specialized High Schools Admissions Test) is a standardized exam used for admission to New York City's specialized high schools, which are known for their rigorous academic programs. The test evaluates students' abilities in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics, focusing on skills such as reading comprehension, grammar, and problem-solving. The SHSAT is highly competitive, and a student's score on the test is the primary factor in determining admission to these schools.

SCAT
The School and College Ability Test (SCAT) is a standardized test used to assess the mathematical and verbal reasoning abilities of students, often for admission into gifted and talented programs. It is designed to measure a student's ability to solve complex problems and understand advanced concepts. The test is typically divided into two sections: verbal and quantitative. The verbal section tests vocabulary and reasoning skills, while the quantitative section focuses on mathematical problem-solving and reasoning.

ISEE
The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) is a standardized test used for admission to private and independent schools, particularly in the United States. It assesses a student's abilities in four main areas: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, and mathematics. The test also includes an unscored essay, which is sent to schools as part of the application process. The ISEE is available at multiple levels, tailored to different grade ranges, and is designed to evaluate a student's readiness for the academic challenges of a private school education.

ACT
The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It measures a student's academic readiness for college through multiple-choice tests in four subject areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. There is also an optional writing section that evaluates essay-writing skills. The ACT is widely accepted by U.S. colleges and universities and is used alongside high school grades and other factors to assess a student's potential for success in higher education.

SAT
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. It assesses a student's readiness for college by evaluating skills in reading, writing and language, and mathematics. The SAT is designed to measure critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that are essential for academic success in college. Some versions of the test also include an optional essay section. SAT scores are used by colleges and universities as one factor in the admissions process.

GED
The GED (General Educational Development) test is a high school equivalency exam that measures proficiency in four subject areas: mathematical reasoning, reasoning through language arts, science, and social studies. Passing the GED demonstrates that an individual has knowledge and skills equivalent to those of a high school graduate. The GED is often taken by individuals who did not complete high school and wish to earn a credential that can help them pursue higher education, employment, or other opportunities.
